Lisa is a pastelist who creates paintings that evoke the feeling of the Impressionists, such as Monet. “Painting the landscape is my way of reconnecting with nature.” Using the local landscape as her subject matter, she creates paintings that are colorful, peaceful, and classical in style.
“Since I have been working in Pastel, I have learned that pastel is a misunderstood and mysterious medium. I want to show the beauty and versatility of this very old medium. Pastel is an opaque medium, so I focus on working in layers of transparency.”
